3 people were killed in a bus-truck collision at Bangabandhu Bridge in Sirajganj. At least 10 others were injured.
The accident happened in front of pillar number 13 of the bridge early on Saturday (September 7).
According to the police, a bus of ‘Dhaka Express’ was going to Dhaka with passengers from Sirajganj. When it reached in front of pillar number 13, the bus lost control and hit a truck carrying stones in front.
The front part of the bus is twisted. Three passengers of the bus died on the spot. The police reached the spot after receiving information. The bus was impounded.
Locals rescued 10 injured people and took them to Sadar Hospital. The truck left immediately after the accident. The police said that efforts are being made to identify the names of the three victims.
